Hola!
Yes, it the SAPaintball.info, periodic… or shall I say erratic Newsletter finding its way to you inbox again. And, most probably totally unsolicited and self-indulgent just the way I like it, hehehehe.
Let me start this update off with an apology. Not for the badly written newsletter, but rather the slow pace of updates on SAPaintball.info recently. I think my boss checked my bandwidth usage and noticed that the keyword SAPaintball.info came up a lot. They are keeping me extra busy at the office, so yes, its' a bit slow at the mo.
But that's enough about me! Let's get into some of the updates.
1) Taking it to the Max - The Joy Division Special!
A week late but pod cast number 4 is done and live. We interviewed Maximus (Joy Division - Sweden) at Dark Ducks abode with some Fuzigish and Hellphones to boot! We're really excited about this project but we're finding it hard to gauge what you guys think. So if you're not offended by a bunch of foul mouthed Paintballers please head over to SAPaintball.info and download our latest show.
Please, please, we need your feedback and if all goes to plan we'll be rewarding one lucky listener with a very 'special' prize at the end of 2007 for his/her sustained feedback. We're also looking for a cool name for our pod cast and just that could earn you a CD or DVD alone.
The pod cast is a separate project and you can direct your feedback to podcast@sapaintball.info. You can also visit the pod cast MySpace page at www.myspace.com/sapaintball
2) SAPPL moving forward
We posted two SAPPL updates. The one covers the first event with its entry form, the other answers some of those nagging questions about the Series. Hey! I nearly forgot to mention that we've got the SAPPL membership registration forms up and running. Go register now, www.SAPaintball.info is where it's at!
I paid Keith Morris (SAPPL Gauteng Rep.) a visit last night and checked out the player card machine. They are jacked man! There will be pre-registration dates where we'll be sorting you out with a players' card.
Things are moving along nicely at the moment. Keep an eye on SAPaintball.info, we'll be relaying all the SAPPL news and dates.
Short News bits:
1- Jokers Wild this weekend at Paintball City (Germiston). The event has a limited amount of teams but I'm sure Paintball City will be running a brilliant show again. The man to chat to is Nick Birch; you can get hold of him on Cell: 082 729 5142 for more information. If you're not playing come check it out damn it!
2- The next SACPL (Champions League/ X-ball Light) event will take place early in June. We'll be heading to De-ranged in Rustenburg, that's Team 187's home field. Brilliant facilities, so make sure you join Dark Duck and Blades and Triggers for that one. Chat to the scary Dawid van Reenen (Cell: 082 303 6790) for more info, or just wait for your FAV site to post up all the details.
3- SA Pro team, Firestorm… No! They're Mad Buzz Firestorm now. Check out what cool sponsorship SA's sweethearts pulled off for themselves. Seriously, it's hard to secure non-industry related sponsorships. Let's hope their success will trickle down to others.
Industry:
1- CPS has an Easter Special with some discounted goodies.
2- Elizabeth Silly, Paintball Heaven introduces XO industries paint.
3- We've got WPN Paintballs from our very own Mr. G.
…that's just the most recent stuff. Plenty more where that came from. Check out our advertisers, they support SAPaintball.info so make sure you hook up with them!
That's all I can think of now. Please send us your feedback, news and suggestions. We're always eager to post news from all over South Africa (and international) so if you've got something you want to share with the SAPaintball.info community then drop us a mail.
Keep it real!
